Testimonials
What an oasis! We are delighted to have discovered this picturesque and tranquil Midlands jewel.
From the spaciousness of the double en-suite rooms to the utter tranquillity and privacy, the beautiful riverside setting, the gardens and the cosy games room, we were made to feel absolutely at home and welcome. We absolutely loved staying at Clydesdale, and will return for a longer stay next time. What a find in the heart of the Midlands!
Lovely time away in the Midlands
The location is very central to the rest of the Midlands Meander. Dave is a lovely host and is very welcoming. Facilities were great and we could tell that this accommodation is a passion project of the owners. Great position being on Lion’s River and it feels very safe. Loved having horses, dogs as well as ducks, chickens and their babies around us 🙂 overall it’s a lovely place to stay and would recommend Clydesdale wholeheartedly
Definitely would recommend Clydesdale for any dog lovers.
We absolutely loved our stay at Clydesdale. We decided, last minute, to go away for a night in the Midlands with our Beagle puppy. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and neat.
Lovely and serene
What a beautiful place! The river makes for such a gorgeous setting. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bar are ( The Trough) was cozy and inviting. Our dog also had a great adventure.
Exceptional
The hosts are pleasant, friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed. I was highly impressed with the accommodation and scenery. The sound of the river was soothing especially at night. The big bath and large shower were well received by us all after our daily activities in nearby areas. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend to our family and friends. Thank you
Fantastic
Super friendly and incredibly hospitable Host. Met every expectations. Bathtub was amazing. Just a really lovely stay with amazing views of the Lions river. Will definitely recommend and hope to be back soon.
Lovely quick getaway
Lovely accommodation, peaceful. A lot of bird life. Loved the sound of the river , which you can hear from the room. Staff were all friendly and accommodating.
Lovely people, beautiful scenery, comfortable and cosy elegance. A must visit.
It was lovely that there were coffee/tea facilities and complimentary biscuits and rusks. Also fresh water. There was a fridge for our groceries. The trough was very special and cosy. My girls and I loved the piano. Hubby liked the idea of the honesty bar.
A piece of Paradise that I look forward to returning to.
We had lunch at Abingdon, and were looking for a place to stay that was nearby, and stumbled on this patch of Paradise! The accommodation was excellent, with a beautiful view of the Lions River . The room was large, with a huge bathroom . Little touches , such as the chocolates, bottled water, and chips were all included in the price. Since no meals are offered , I suggest taking a picnic and enjoying it on the benches on the bank of the Lions River. We will certainly return and do just that.
